Cash is Trash or so the saying goes. When inflation is high and predicted to stay high, leaving your money in a checking account, under your mattress or even in a savings account is probably not the most lucrative way to go. In 2021 the inflation rate rose by almost 7% and in 2022 the predication is at least 3%.

A popular strategy among certain investors of beating high inflation rates is to invest in high dividend stocks. Some of the best (Speaking financially) dividend stocks are below and they are all at favorable price points right now because of the dip in the market caused by the fed’s latest meeting (This dip is explained in some detail here). With that being said we wanted to call out some of the ethical problems associated with these high dividend stocks.

  • Chevron (CVX)LGBT Legislation, Environmental Disasters – LGBT Promotion is not usually a deal breaker for C3 but when it comes to legislation that is when C3 draws a line in the sand.
  • Altria Group (MO)Cannabis, LGBT Legislation, Tobacco, Alcohol – Altria is a company that is involved in just too much activity that is opposed to Judeo-Christian values for C3 to be able to back it.
  • Lockheed Martin Corp. (LMT)LGBT Promotion, Arms producer – Some people do not have a problem with arms producers given the necessity argument of living in a fallen world and needing the firepower to fight off the bad guys. This argument has its merits and should be considered by each individual investor. LMT just won’t be making it on to any recommendation lists put out by C3.
  • International Business Machines Corp. (IBM)LGBTQ Legislation – IBM does a lot of good in the world given its core business functions in security, blockchain, life sciences and a plethora of other activities. However, IBM also participates in Military Defense activities and is engaged in a lot of climate hysteria. Books could be written on the ethics behind all that IBM does give the scope and size of the company but C3 does not feel comfortable backing IBM.

C3 is not outright recommending any of the above stocks (Though C3 is outright against some of them). C3 is making this post so that C3 subscribers can be better informed investors when it comes to the morality behind certain assets that seem to be in financial advantageous positions at this moment in time.

As always, spend time in prayer with our Lord Jesus Christ and speak with friends and family before making any major financial decisions.
