Moral Culpability; Spending vs. Investing

The opinions expressed in this blog post are just that, opinions. No official church teaching has been made, but common sense does seem to conform to the ideals that are being expressed.

There is a difference in moral culpability and responsibility when it comes to comparing spending and investing. The basics are that investing carries greater moral weight then spending does. When we spend money on something we are saying we need, or we want the product or service we purchased. Of course, spending based on need carries less moral weight than spending based on want.
